"Excellent quality honey. Wildflower tastes divine. Looking forward to trying the other varieties."
"The honey is so so good and the barbecue sauce was delicious and a huge hit with the family."
My Mom has been making honey a major staple in her diet. She fell in love with the Sage and Chaparral honey!!
In love with local honey!!
We LOVE each and every one of SB Hive's honey! The sage is amazing, and the chaparral a real, super-local treat. There truly isn't any other honey like this in the world and we are so happy to be able to enjoy it. We will be lifelong fans!
Our condiments and sauces are made using our raw honey. Great for a cheese plate, a spread, a dipping sauce or a marinade.
Your support for Santa Barbara Hives allows us to take great care of our 700 hives (7 to 35 million bees) and continue to expand our apiaries which helps with pollination locally but we also want to give back and help globally so, in partnership with Ecologi, a tree will be planted for every jar you purchase from us. Thank you for helping the bees, planting trees and reducing CO2 emissions.
Our raw, local, unfiltered honey in a reusable or recyclable glass teddy bear jar with a metal lid. Fun with or without honey in them. Say no to plastic honey bears!

While Sitting in My Car at the Fairview Intersection
Waiting for the Light to Change
This would take an eternity
so I downed the windows
upped the music
and a bee landed on my wrist
pressed her proboscis
against my flesh
and pivoted in a circle
Strolled a few steps
repeating this pattern up my arm
with exquisite precision
Curious, perhaps, that such dry desert
could emit the smallest wiff
I credit my body lotion
When she flew down the V of my shirt
I prayed the light remain red
She stopped to rest before
hiking back up, crossing my neck
to snuggle behind my right ear
Suddenly, she was out the window
Stinging me with regret
Harvesting honey from our Flow Hive!
For us, it starts with the bees. They teach us so much and keep us very busy. It is exhausting and exhilarating. We love it and when we can we share stories with you here.
