Common Customer Questions
What should I do if I find a bee swarm on my property?
If you see a cluster of bees, stay calm and give us a call. Swarms are typically non-aggressive and just looking for a new home. We offer safe, humane bee swarm removal throughout Santa Barbara and surrounding areas.
What is a nuc, and how do I get one?
A nuc (nucleus colony) is a small starter beehive with bees, a laying queen, and frames of brood and honey. Perfect for new or expanding beekeepers! Contact us to reserve — availability is seasonal.
What’s the difference between a traditional hive and a Flow Hive?
Both house bees, but Flow Hives allow for easier honey harvesting with minimal disturbance to the colony. We sell both styles and are happy to help you choose what’s best for your goals.
Do you sell queen bees separately?
Yes! We raise and sell mated queen bees locally, ideal for requeening or strengthening a colony. Email us for current availability and pickup details.
