Bees swarm. That is how they replicate. Sometimes they swarm into your yard, school or business and they will keep moving until they feel they find a safe place to start building a hive. You might not agree with their choice and we can help by collecting them and taking them to a bee yard. It is a service we are happy to provide but it takes time and resources. Once collected the bees are fed and treated for mites. We do this year round.
A simple bee swarm rescue is a swarm in an easily accessible bush, bench, low limb of a tree. It involves shaking the bees into one of our nuc boxes, leaving the box so that all the bees find it before dark and circling back to close up the bees at dusk to take them to a bee yard.
A more involved rescue involves ladders or strapping our box to a tree high up for example.
